Scholarships
Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Scholarship
The
Women’s Center administers the Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship
for women 25 years of age or over. The criteria are:

Applicant
must be officially enrolled in a degree program
-
Applicant
may be an undergraduate or graduate student
-
Applicant
may be a second bachelor, a certification, or a
recertification candidate
-
Applicant
may be a part-time(6 credit hours minimum) or full-time
student
-
Applicant
must have a 2.5 GPA or better
-
Applicant
must demonstrate some financial need
-
Applicant
must demonstrate how this degree reflects a change of career
or advancement of goals
The
Newcombe Scholarships are awarded for the upcoming fall and
spring semesters. Most recently, awardees are receiving
scholarships for two consecutive years. Applications for the
Newcombe Scholarship will not be available until Spring 2009 for
Fall 2009 and Spring 2010.

Women’s
Center Awards
These
awards are given at the discretion of the Director. They are
designed to aid female students who find themselves in
unexpected financial crisis. The Director gives particular
consideration to applicants who are single mothers. However,
ALL female students who find themselves in sudden need are
eligible to apply and will be given serious consideration.
Please call or stop by the center to receive an application. A
meeting with the Director will be arranged as soon as the
application is returned.
