<bio> Prior to coming to Towson University in February 2002 I worked at two other universities. I worked at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Milwaukee, WI. I feel that my life, volunteer and work experiences will allow me to be a worthy addition to TUSC.

<bio> My association with TU is a longstanding one, both as an employee and as a student. As a staff member, my career started 18 years ago as a contractual employee working for the Associate Director in the University Bookstore. I became a regular employee shortly thereafter as the Customer Service supervisor. Six years later I accepted a position in the Graduate School working on the organization and management of graduate student records. In December 1999 I took an administrative assistant position in the Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies.

<bio> I have been an Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Nursing for two and one-half years. Prior to coming to Towson I had worked part-time for approximately two years as I re-entered the workforce after being a stay-at-home Mom and homeschooling my two daughters, Lydia (K-12) and Sarah (3rd-12). Sarah graduated from Towson with a degree in Early Childhood Education (and just received her Master's in Special Ed from Johns Hopkins); Lydia will graduate from Towson in January 2012 with a degree in Psychology (so our homeschooling venture seems to have been a success).

<bio> In 2006, I began my career at Towson University as the Administrative Assistant II for the Department of Art + Design, Art History, Art Education. My extensive customer service background in the corporate world and a BS in Art from Towson University made me the perfect fit for the job. My primary responsibilities are student relations. I also represent the department to prospective students and during open houses. I really enjoy my work at Towson and it will be a pleasure and honor to serve on the council.

<bio> My career as an administrative assistant at Towson University began in 2004 with a position in the College of Education. The primary focus of my responsibilities is with the graduate programs and includes a variety of activities involving prospective and current students, faculty and administrators. It has been my pleasure to offer support to the college and I have very much enjoyed working with everyone in the Towson University community. I am pleased to be a member of the TUSC and hope to promote the value of staff employees through this association.

<bio>I have been with the Towson University since March 2008, working in the Financial Services department. I transferred to the university from Metropolitan State College of Denver to assist the PeopleSoft Financials Team with the conversion from FRS to PeopleSoft. Throughout Financial Services, I've had three different positions, first as a contractual employee for the PeopleSoft Financials Team, then a student worker for all areas in Financial Services, to my current full time position as the Project Specialist. I work with a wide range of individuals around campus, providing training and support to various campus users. My interest in TUSC is to be more involved with the campus and interact with others around campus.

<bio>I was employed at Towson University between 1999-2004 and returned in 2008 to the Office of Human Resources. Working in the Training and Development unit of Human Resources has given me the opportunity to not only interact with staff from across the campus, but as the mission of TUSC states "to promote the value and talents of its staff employees." During training workshops, I hear staff concerns and would like to be able to channel those concerns to be resolved.
As a member of TUSC, I would also like to identify, increase, and promote all of the resources and opportunities that are available for staff professional development and enrichment. I hold a B.A. from Temple University and an M.S. in Human Resource Development from Towson University. I also serve as an adjunct faculty member in the HRD program.

<bio> I began employment at Towson University in 2004, in the Women's Studies Department as their Administrative Assistant. In 2006 I moved into the Psychology Department as their Administrative Assistant. Later that year I left Towson University to gain experience in the Human Resource and Recruitment field. In 2007 I returned to Towson University to work as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity. In 2010 I moved into my current position as a Human Resource Associate in the Office of Human Resources. This position gave me the opportunity to volunteer to help bring Job Skills Workshops to Cherry Hill High Schools and at the Calvin Rodwell Elementary School. In 2011 I was given the opportunity to move into my current position as the NRA Tax Coordinator in Student Financials/Financial Services. I enjoy working with the faculty, staff, and students at Towson University and take pride in providing excellent customer service. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources from Geneva College.

<bio> I have worked at Towson University since 1993. Before that, I worked for the Hubble Space Telescope and Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group. I currently work for the Office of Technology Services in the role of Network Project Engineer. It is my job to facilitate and manage various IT projects for the Towson campus. One of my favorite projects was the installation of our campus-wide wireless network which was activated in February 2005. I have been a member of the state-wide USM Women's Forum Executive Committee since 1995 and have worked to ensure Towson is well represented on this important committee. In 2006, I became involved in the Maryland election process, not for political reasons but rather I feel every citizen in Maryland needs to be informed and involved in the decision making process of our General Assembly. I hold a BS from University of Maryland in Information Systems Management and a MS from Towson University in Instructional Technology.

<bio>I have been at Towson since August of 2000. I work as the Technical Director for the Department of Theatre Arts. I actually nominated myself because I wanted to get more involved with the decision making process of the university and felt that being on the staff council would allow me to have a voice at the university beyond just sending an email. I feel like I am in touch with many of the staff members here at the Center for the Arts, and if nothing else can represent them and other exempt employees fairly and responsibly.

<bio>I began employment with Towson University December 1998 as a Multimedia Assistant in the Cook Library. I am an alum of Towson University having graduated this past December with a degree in Economics (I was on the 30-year plan). I have a background in electronics, earning an Associate's degree in Electronics Technology from Essex Community College in 1990, also a background in audio recording and live sound production. Born and raised in the area, I have lived all my years within a few zip codes of Towson. I currently live in Lutherville, MD with my wife of 29 years and my youngest of two daughters, an Ohio State grad who is just about to get a place of her own. My oldest daughter, a Towson alum, both undergrad and grad, recently married and is living in the area. I am actively involved in my church and enjoy music, movies, and cooking outdoors.

<bio> I have been employed at Towson University for 9 months working as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the Fiscal Planning and Services Department. Prior to coming to TU, I worked at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for ten years. I was part of the Non Exempt Staff Senate. I enjoyed being a member of NESS and when I changed campuses, I was very interested in being part of TUSC. I have taken advantage of the opportunity to attend some of the TUSC Meetings. I want to make a difference at Towson University and be part of a team that cares and works towards making things better.
