Board of Regents Staff Awards
NOMINATIONS NEEDED
The Towson University Staff Council (TUSC) and the Council of University System Staff (CUSS) are calling for nominations for the Board of Regents University System of Maryland Staff Awards!
Simply fill out the form (PDF) and nominate a colleague for one of the following categories:
- (1) exceptional contribution to the institution and/or unit to which the person belongs;
- (2) outstanding service to students in an academic or residential environment; or
- (3) extraordinary public service, within or outside the university.
- (4) effectiveness and efficiency (2 Awards)
The CUSS Awards are the Board of Regents highest honors and are bestowed upon Exempt and Nonexempt staff. The final award recipients will receive a $1000 stipend, a plaque, and publicity of their honor. Previous TU winner were Mary Leeper and Raft Woodus, won the prestigious system-wide honor.

Top Tiger Award
Towson University staff members can now nominate co-workers for the Top Tiger award, designed to recognize staff who go above and beyond their normal duties to help other staff members.
If you have received exemplary customer service from a fellow staff member, please fill out the form below to request a “Top Tiger” nomination card. Once complete, submit your nomination card Vicki Simmers (Admin 401-1).
Two winners will be drawn monthly at TUSC meetings and announced on the Daily Digest. Winners will receive $10 meal tickets to have lunch on TUSC.
All staff members are eligible to be nominated, but staff cannot nominate someone who works within their same department, as defined by Human Resources. Nominees can, however, work in the same division.
