As a result of strong campus-wide interest, the Towson University Staff Council (TUSC) was formed by the President in 1993. Intended to serve as an advisory body to the President's Staff on non-faculty matters, the Council offers all staff an opportunity to express ideas and concerns and provides a means for assessing campus opinion on important staff issues.
The Towson University Staff Council (TUSC) is the advocate body for all University staff employees. Through its advisory role with the University President, TUSC seeks to further the prominence of the University by promoting the value and talents of its staff employees. It further means to act as a communication channel between the President and the University staff, and advise on matters relating to staff, the work environment, and, in general, the welfare of the University as a whole.
Welcome from the Chair
Greetings from the TU Staff Council
To All TU Staff:
The primary function of TUSC is to be the voice of staff on campus. TUSC represents the interests of all staff, all categories, all departments, exempt and non-exempt, full-time and part-time. If you have a concern about parking, pay, benefits or anything else, TUSC works as your liaison between staff and University leadership, TUSC provides recommendations on all issues affecting staff BEFORE becoming official policies.
TUSC exists to keep you informed. This year we introduced several new methods for providing information. The first is our monthly e-mail newsletter that you can subscribe to which details the activities of the Staff Council. In addition to the newsletter you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more up to the minute information.
