The first decade of the 2000s experienced the biggest boom in playwriting that Russia has enjoyed since the 1920s. Writers in their 20s and 30s changed the face of Russian theater, capturing the fancy of theaters all over the world. The time has come to introduce these innovators to America with bold new idiomatic “American language” translations.
