Our
Mission
The
Towson Energy Activists are an extremely active Towson University
SGA affiliated group. Our three main purposes are to:

Work
to promote attitudes and practices within the university that
are ecologically and culturally
sustainable by advancing the use of clean energy sources and
energy efficiency on the campus

Educate
the Towson University campus about energy efficiency, sustainability,
and conservation methods

Make Towson University a model of sustainability for the rest
of society
We
recognize that global warming is a serious threat to the future
of the world and actively work to make changes at the local level
on our college campus. Some of the aspects we focus on are:
Green
building- Encouraging new buildings being built to be
more sustainably designed and retrofitting existing buildings
to be more efficient and eco-conscious.
Energy Conservation- Making our campus more energy
efficient by retrofitting existing buildings and changing general
habits.
Sustainable Energy- Changing the source of our
electricity to renewable, clean resources such as solar and wind,
rather than dirty fossil fuels.
