TU UK-Direct University of Strathclyde

The University of Strathclyde is located in the Scottish city of Glasgow - Scotland's largest city. Strathclyde offers a true city-life experience but is also within easy reach of some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe in the Scottish Highlands an hour away. The University welcomes many students each year from over 90 countries who quickly become part of the vibrant, cosmopolitan community. Strathclyde was voted the UK's "Best University" in terms of the student experience.

The Business School is ranked in the top 1% of business schools worldwide (#9 in the UK) and the only one in Scotland from the tree leading accrediting bodies, including the AACSB. The traditional four-year Scottish degree structure offers more flexibility in choosing classes than at universities in the rest of the UK.

Glasgow is one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan destinations in Europe. Located on the west coast of Scotland, Glasgow provides ready access to the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside and is less than an hour away from many attractions including Edinburgh, Stirling, the Ayrshire Coast, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The city has been reborn as a center of style and vitality set against a backdrop of outstanding Victorian architecture. Glasgow boasts world famous art collections, the best shopping in the United Kingdom outside London, and a vibrant nightlife.

Glasgow is the most Scottish of cities, with a unique blend of friendliness, urban chaos, black humor and energy. The varied and colorful social scenes ensure there is always something to do and places to go. It offers excellent art galleries and museums, as well as numerous good-value restaurants, countless pubs and bars and a rollicking arts scene. Glasgow, like most cities in the UK, has an excellent public transportation system including rail, bus and taxi. Glasgow has something for everyone!
