TU UK-Direct University of Exeter
The University of Exeter is one of the most popular Universities in the UK. The Virgin Alternative Guide to British Universities calls it “one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, in one of the most beautiful counties in Britain." With just over 12,000 students, Exeter University is large enough to provide excellent facilities and a lively atmosphere but not so big that you are just a face in the crowd. It is only a 10-minute walk away from the center of the city of Exeter.
Exeter is consistently rated as one of the best places to live in the UK. The city is surrounded by some of the most stunning countryside in England and yet is only two hours away from London. Exeter has something for everyone, whether your tastes are for exploring the city or enjoying the countryside. Exeter is a safe, student friendly city where international students are made to feel welcome.
The South West of England is one of Europe’s top holiday destinations – as a student you will be able to enjoy it for a full semester or year. There are views of the Exe estuary from the campus and the coastal town of Exmouth, with its sandy beaches, is just nine miles away.
Close by, the national parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor offer both wild scenery, which will challenge hikers, climbers, canoeists, horse riders and cyclists, and gentler landscapes of rolling hills, rivers and attractive market towns and villages.
Students choosing Exeter can benefit from the university's 'buddy program'. International students will be matched with a local Exeter student before arrival. Your buddy will help you get to know the school and area, and help you integrate into local student life.
