TU in Italy - Lorenzo de' Medici, Venice

The Lorenzo de’Medici (LdM) Venice campus is located in the historic city center. The Venice program offers the students the chance to study Italian language, and to take English-language electives in the humanities or studio arts. The rich history and culture of Venice provides an incredible backdrop for the course work and activities throughout the program.

LdM’s Venice building is in Campo Santa Margherita, an historic square and popular meeting point for local students and residents. A short walk from Piazza San Marco, students on this program will quickly learn to navigate Venice’s narrow streets on foot and the canals via vaporetto.

Known as the Queen of the Adriatic, the city of Venice stretches across 118 small islands in the Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea. Venice was a major center of the arts from the 13th century until the 17th century and the printing capital of the world in the 15th and 16th centuries. The influences of these periods can still be seen today in the art, architecture, and culture of Venice. Venice and its lagoon is an UNESCO World Heritage site.
