TU in Australia
Immerse yourself in the Australian culture while studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. The University has about 7,500 students, including approximately 900 international students from more than 60 countries, and is ideal if you want a campus
environment that is personal and friendly. It’s a great place to meet Australian students and to experience the Australian lifestyle in a safe and natural environment.
The USC campus borders the Mooloolah River National Park, and is home to wild kangaroos, native birds, frogs and other Australian wildlife. The campus is a 10-minute drive from the beach and is close to hinterland and rainforest areas.
The Sunshine Coast is in south-east Queensland just north of Queensland’s capital city Brisbane. It is home to over 305,000 and is one of Australia’s most popular vacation destinations, with beautiful beaches, rivers and mountain ranges. It has a pleasant, subtropical climate, which is comfortable all year round. Flights run daily from Brisbane to Sydney and cost approximately $50 roundtrip.
Academic Information:12-16 U.S. credits (3-4 courses) per semester. TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.

Spring: February - June
Fall: July - November
Housing: Students can choose between two off-campus self-catered student apartment complexes which are located a few minutes walk from campus. Accommodation is at the individual student's choice and expense and is not included in the program fee. USC will assist students with finding and booking accommodation. Airport transfer is available between Brisbane airport and your Sunshine Coast accommodation for an additional fee.

Fall 2012: $9,100
Cost includes academic credit, health insurance, on-site orientation, activities program, welcome and farewell dinners. Additional costs include passport and visa costs, airfare, round trip airport transfers from Brisbane airport, accommodation, living expenses, $300 study abroad fee. Optional activities and excursions are also available for an additional fee.
*The Towson University Study Abroad Office reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.
Eligibility: Must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student with an overall GPA of 2.5. Sophomore/Junior/Senior status.
Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $50 application fee. Non-TU students must also submit a completed Non-Degree Enrollment Application.
