Photo Contest
Submission deadline: April 18th, 2012
Give us your best shot! You are invited to participate in the TU Study Abroad Bi-Annual Photo Contest. For entry instructions, please review the Photo Contest Submission Rules and Guidelines.
Photos should be representative of the student’s study abroad experience and country. Some things to consider:
- Does the photograph show the viewer anything about the country’s local people, cultures, or traditions?
- Does the photograph show distinctive landmarks, cityscapes, or landscapes unique to the country? In other words, can you tell you are in a different country?
- Does the photograph show a student, or students, experiencing the culture, interacting with locals, or exploring their new environment?
Photos featuring yourself and/or other students abroad are strongly encouraged. Other topics may include local people, culture specific activities, traditions, landmarks, cityscapes, landscapes etc. All entries must be original photographs either taken by the student or featuring the student him/herself while participating in a study abroad program or exchange. Only one entry per student may be submitted. Towson University retains the right to use your photos in print and online publications and marketing initiatives.
Prizes: One winner will be selected and will receive a $50 gift card valid at the TU University Union store. Two photos will be chosen as runners up and each runner up will receive a $25 gift card valid at the TU University Union store. The winning photos will be used to promote study abroad at Towson University and will take a place on the Study Abroad 'Wall of Fame' in the TU Administration Building.
