TU Study Abroad Exchange Program in Korea

Sangmyung is truly a gobal instutution with 115 partner universities worldwide including 41 partner universities in the U.S. These relationships play a critical role in helping the university achieve their goal of educating students who
are comfortable dealing with different cultures and working in foreign
environments.
Sangmyung University is located in South Korea's capital city of Seoul. With over ten million people living within its city limits, Seoul is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world. The city is the country's political, cultural, and economic center, as well as an international business center, and is considered one of the top 20 "world-class cities". The bus and subway systems make traveling throughout the city easy and affordable. All the major attractions that Seoul has to offer are within easy reach of the university.
International students studying at SMU will be assigned a buddy upon arrival who will help introduce you to academic and social life in Korea. Sangmyung students are strongly encouraged to volunteer in this program as it not only beneficial to international students but also exposes volunteers to both the language and culture of the foreign student.

Spring (semester 1): March - June
Spring (semester 2): August - December
Housing Options: Students live in off-campus residence halls.
Cost: TU Tuition and fees. Additional costs include transportation, housing, meals, $300 study abroad fee, $150 health insurance fee, personal expenses, supplies/texts.

Application Process: Must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student at TU. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Completed one year of study at a college or university.
Submit a TU Study Abroad Exchange Application Form (PDF) to the TU Study Abroad Office. $100 exchange application fee.
