Internship eligibility requirements as published in the TU Catalog 2007-08:

IMPORTANT: This is not a complete list. If your major is not listed here it does not mean that you cannot complete an internship. Please contact your academic department or refer to the TU Catalog for full information.

TU Course Requirements

ACCT 497

Priority will be given to seniors. Open to highly qualified juniors. Junior standing. Consent of department chairperson. Graded S/U.

AMST 497

Consent of American Studies coordinator. Graded S/U.

ANTH 491-492

Cconcentration in Anthropology. Junior standing. Consent of internship coordinator.

ART 490, 491, 492

Consent of instructor.

Interview. Consent of instructor.

BIOL 493

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. Junior/or senior standing. Biology major. Consent of the biology internship coordinator. Prerequisites: minimum of 11 units in biology completed at Towson University. Graded S/U.

CHEM 395-396

Prerequisites: CHEM 332 and either CHEM 213 and CHEM 332. Co-requisites: CHEM 340 or CHEM 341 or CHEM 345 or CHEM 346. Graded S/U.

COMM 490

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and 3.00 in the major. Junior/senior sstandingtatus. Completion of appropriate courses determined by the department. Graded S/U.

COSC 397

Consent of instructor. Prerequisites: 6 units of upper-division computer science or computer information systems courses. Graded S/U.

ECON 497

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. Junior standing. Economics major. Prerequisites: Consent of internship coordinator. Prerequisites: ECON 309, ECON 310. Graded S/U.

SOCI major. Junior standing. Consent of internship coordinator.

WMST 496

No “I” grades on transcript. Consent of the Women's Studies internship coordinator or department chair in advance of term in which student intends to do the internship. Prerequisites: WMST 231, 232, 233 or 234, and 21 upper-level units. Graded S/U.
