TU Dublin Internship Summer Program, Ireland

June 29 - August 15, 2009

Complete a 6-week professional practice internship in Dublin, Ireland this summer. The Towson University Dublin Internship Program offers exciting, career-enhancing placements in the city of Dublin.

Internship opportunities are available in the following disciplines:

Students will be placed at organizations or businesses in Dublin. Program staff on-site in Dublin will contact and arrange the internship placement based on the student's preferences. Participants are not responsible for finding a placement. Individual placement interviews will be conducted by telephone approximately 2 months prior to the program start date.

Eligibility: Open to Towson University students only. You must check with the Internship Coordinator in your department to find out if you meet the department's minimum eligibility requirements. Each department has specific eligibility requirements which students must meet before being able to complete an internship. Click here for a partial list.

Course: 3-6 credits (course determined by TU academic department).

Housing: Students will live in shared student apartments at Shanowen Square - a 15-minute bus ride to the city center. The co-ed apartments consist of 3 to 5 single bedrooms with private bathrooms, a shared kitchen and living area, internet connections (students use their own laptops) and on-site laundry facilities. Linens are included, but students will need to bring or buy their own towels.

Cost: * $4,600 iIncludes housing, health insurance, welcome and farewell receptions, pre-departure and on-site orientations, a theatre trip, and an Irish language workshop. Additional costs include $150 study abroad fee, roundtrip airfare to Dublin, meals, ground transportation, and personal expenses.

*The Towson University Study Abroad Office reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.

Application Process: Complete and submit the TU Summer Internship Programs Application. This program is not available for non-TU students. After the deadline, applications will be considered on a space-available basis.
