TU UK-Direct Bangor University
Situated on the North coast of Wales against the backdrop of the Snowdonia mountain range, the Bangor University is one of the most attractive study locations in the UK. Students from countries worldwide choose to study at Bangor every year. Nearly 10% of the students come from 70 countries outside the UK.
Bangor is an ancient, historic Cathedral city full of character with a wealth of activities and facilities. Listen to the Welsh language at the heart of the community while experiencing its colorful culture and history. It is a friendly coastal city with a unique character and landscape - it has its own mountain and panoramic views of the sea. In such a compact city, all the amenities you could possibly want are just a short walk away. And the cost of living in Bangor is much lower than in many other parts of the UK.
An area of outstanding natural beauty, the mountains, lakes and forests of the Snowdonia National Park are only a 10 minute drive away making Bangor an excellent base for experiencing outdoor and leisure activities. Students can also take advantage of the Super Ferry and take a day trip to Ireland.
Bangor is just as convenient and easy to reach as most other UK cities. Manchester International Airport is just an hour and a half away by car and two hours by train, and there are direct rail links to London, with its two international airports. Dublin, Ireland is a day-trip away by train & ferry.
