TU in France - Marchutz School of Art (courses taught in English)
The Marchutz School of Art is a studio art school with an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to art education. The mission of the Marchutz School is threefold: to enhance awareness of the
relationship between perception and imagination, to develop historical and
critical perspectives, and, above all, to develop the student's capacity to see.
Students at Marchutz look around them as well as within themselves until their
artistic expression springs from a union of sight and insight.
Aix-en-Provence:
Voted by the French as "the most desirable French town in which to live," Aix-en-Provence is referred to as the 'city of a thousand fountains' characterized by cobblestone streets and beautiful old buildings. The city is located just 15 miles north of Marseille in the Provence region of France and has inspired many great writers and painters including Paul Cézanne. Though small, Aix is a bustling town rich in history and local tradition yet equipped with all the modern facilities of a larger city.
