Beth Skinner & Andy Ellis receive Jacobson award at Novice/JV National championship

Beth Skinner, Lecturer and Assistant Director of the Towson University Speech and Debate Program, and Andy Ellis, former Towson Debater received the Jacobson award at Novice/Junior Varsity Nationals hosted by West Virginia University. The award honors members of the debate community who have made significant contributions to the activity. Skinner and Ellis received recognition for the launching of Baltimore College Debate. Their work this year which began with preplanning, a summer workshop and hosting, administering tournaments hosted on the Towson Campus and helping to get programs started in Baltimore and surrounding areas was recognized by Dr. Neil Berch of the WVU.
