Bio

Jeff A. Larson joined the Towson faculty in 2009 after completing a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Arizona.  His primary area of interest is the strategies, structures, and behavior of social movement organizations.  Other interests include organizational behavior, culture, institutional and field theories, and social network analysis.  Jeff has published studies of activity levels among social movement organizations, collective memory, nonprofit organizational failure, and individuals' use of gendered language.  He teaches courses on social movements, race, class, and gender, and introductory Sociology.
