Groundbreaking Ceremony for new College of Liberal Arts Building (Phase 1)

President Caret was joined by local and TU officials on September 12 to break ground for the new CLA Building. Special guests included Del. Adrienne Jones, Del. Bill Frank, Regent Barry Gossett, Dennis Rasmussen (Board of Visitors), and Willard Hackerman and Bob Kimmons (Whiting Turner). CLA Dean Terry Cooney wrapped up the program by announcing a $25,000 gift from alumna Connie Kihm '95 and her husband Jim Kihm to dedicate a room to George Friedman, professor emeritus in the Department of English.
