Instructions for Testing on Towson University Campus

The math placement testing is Elementary and Intermediate Algebra. If you are required to complete placement testing in math, please study to refresh your algebra skills before you attend placement testing. To refresh in algebra, google "Elementary Algebra - Tutorials" and "Accuplacer - Elementary Algebra" (do the same for Intermediate Algebra)

Parking Instructions:

Please park in Towsontown Garage. The parking fee during the summer is $2.00 for all day.

Do not park in residential or business areas!

writing - max time is 1.0 hour; reading and math - untimed

TESTING IS HELD IN LINTHICUM HALL, ROOM 207, SECOND FLOOR

Bring your notification letter or email with you and a photo ID. You will not be allowed to test without a photo ID. If you are testing in math, do not bring a calculator.
Complete the form below to schedule one testing session for the afternoon time. Please schedule carefully to make sure that your testing session does not conflict with any future plans. Test batteries are given on the day and start at the time of your registered testing session. The writing test battery has a maximum time of 60 minutes, and the math and reading test batteries are un-timed. However, most students complete the math or reading battery within 30 minutes.

Read ACCUPLACER Information! You will be able to prepare for the ONLINE test after you have read how the mathematics, reading or writing placement test is structured.

Do not schedule an on-campus testing session if you desire to test at a remote test location and not Towson University.

Complete and submit the following form. After you submit the form, please print the SUBMIT page, record date, time and location of testing session on the page, and bring it with you to your testing session.

All fields are *required and must be completed in order to process your testing session registration.

SELECT ONE TESTING SESSION DATE! DO NOT REGISTER MULTIPLE TIMES! IF YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE MORE THAN ONE TEST BATTERY----IT WILL BE TAKEN THAT SAME DAY AND START AT 1:00 P.M.

FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU ARE TAKING ALL THREE BATTERIES, READING, WRITING AND MATH; YOU WILL COMPLETE THE TESTS IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER---FIRST TEST IS WRITING, NEXT TEST IS READING, NEXT TEST IS MATH.
