Irregular Verbs - Exercise 1

Directions:  In the blank below each sentence, write the correct form of the verb in parenthesis.  Do not add auxiliary verbs.  When you are finished, click  the "Check My Work" button at the bottom of the page to check your answers.

1.  Roberts has (write) several novels in the past five years.
    

2.  In the first grade, Ms. McKewan (teach) me how to read.
    

3.  The poor child (weep) because she had lost her doll.
    

4.  The money was (steal) from the bank.
    

5.  The committee has (choose) Randy to be CEO.
    

6.  I was just (begin) to wash my hair when you called.
    

7.  Last week a great deal of steam (rise) from the volcano.
    

8.  I'm afraid that I have (drink) the rest of the tea.
