Conditional Tenses - Exercise 11

Directions:  In the blank below each sentence, write the correct form of the verb in parenthesis.  You may add auxiliary verbs will, would, have and had as needed.  When you are finished, click  the "Check My Work" button at the bottom of the page to check your answers.

1. They (get) better mileage if they had bought a smaller car.
    

2. If you exercised more, you (feel) better.
    

3.  Joe would ask you to dance if he (have) more nerve.
    

4.  If it doesn't rain, we (attend) the company picnic next Sunday.
    

5.  Your car would look cleaner if you (wash) it.
    

6.  We (wave) if we see you tomorrow after the movie.
    

7.  Jerry will know the correct time if he (find) his watch.
    

8.  If the printer had functioned properly, your paper (look) much clearer.
    

9.  The cat would scratch you if you (go) near it.
