Division of Economic and Community Outreach

Founded in 1989 at the University of Baltimore, RESI moved to Towson University in 1996. RESI is self-funded through client contracts and offers the following types of services:

What we do……

EOCRESI – Applied Economics

  • Economic analyses and forecasting
  • Economic and Fiscal Impact Analyses
  • Statistical Modeling
  • Laborshed Analyses including Economic Development Research
  • BRAC analyses and recommendations

Two recent economic and workforce development projects include:

MEDA

  • State of the Workforce Report
    Study the history of Maryland’s workforce and current industry trends. Make recommendations for a sustainable workforce-of-the-future for Maryland.
    Client: Governor’s Workforce Investment Board
  • BRAC – Base Realignment and Closure Study
    Identify and analyze the education, training and workforce implications of BRAC. Develop a comprehensive plan to increase the number of workers who have security clearances.
    Client: Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development
