Executive in Residence Program
Program Components
Scorecard
The Executive in Residence will work with the President to identify their focus and determine their goals for the year. The Executive will then present to the University leadership in Nov/Dec. on the status of the score-card/goals and again in May/June. The May/June event may be more substantial and include a press release. Sample elements of the scorecard may include; held 3 brown bag lunches with students, consulted with CGIS on business plan to support EMMA deployment, served on advisory taskforce for new Entrepreneurship track in the College of Business & Economics, and hosted October speaker series event with the President of Legg Mason that had over 500 attendees.
Speaker Series
The Executive in Residence will host an annual Speaker Series event in the late-fall that is in collaboration with a University Department or College. The event will include an exclusive meet & greet with student leaders, meeting with President, pre-reception, and keynote event. The event will be set by the beginning of August so that faculty members can include in syllabuses for the Fall.
Show & Tell
TU will organize several “Show and Tell” meetings throughout the term of the Executive in Residence to introduce them to the Technologies and Projects being developed by TU Faculty and Staff. These meetings will provide an opportunity for marketing, potential funding, expansion, and potential collaboration ideas to be discussed. The Executive in Residence will include relevant colleagues in these discussions.
