Course Title: Information Technology and Business Strategy

Prerequisite: AIT 610

 

 

Course Description: Design and evolution of technology strategy; the development of the firm’s innovative capabilities and implementing a development strategy; changes in business strategies due to the emergence of the Internet and e-business; new business models that have emerged, the components of such models, the dynamics and appraisal of the models,  and the new value configurations.

 

 

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course students should:

 

  1. Apply the knowledge of technology strategy to various scenarios and cases

 

  1. Understand the terms, concepts and tools related to technology strategy

 

  1. Understand various business models in the context of the emerging area of e-business

 

  1. Design and implement a technology strategy
