Course Title: Networks Architecture and Protocols

Prerequisite: AIT 620

 

 

Course Description: Review of fundamentals of network technology,  internet protocols,  multicasting, subnet and super net addressing,  routing algorithms,  client-server, socket interface, bootstrap and auto configuration, file transfer, e-mail, internet security.

 

 

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course students should:

 

            have a good understanding of several networks architectures;

            be familiar with Internet protocols;

            have a good understanding of data transfer algorithms; and

            understand the ATM Networks.
