The Psychology Department at Towson University invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position as assistant professor beginning August 2012, assigned primarily to the NASP-approved Graduate Program in School Psychology.
Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and will be responsible for teaching courses related to child/adolescent therapy with a cognitive-behavioral orientation; ability to teach in the areas of multicultural psychology, developmental psychology, and/or preschool assessment is preferred. Some teaching at the undergraduate level also will be expected. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to program development and evaluation and must show potential for a productive research program. Teaching experience in a college or university and experience in the field are highly desirable.
Candidates must hold a doctorate in School Psychology from a NASP-approved or APA-accredited program. Student advising and participation on Department or University committees are also expected.
