The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in Exercise Science/Athletic Training to begin August 2012.
Position responsibilities
Provide quality instruction primarily in a variety of undergraduate courses, particularly (Biomechanics and related areas), and perform research within the emphasis area. The successful candidate will also assist with curriculum development, student recruitment, student advising, seek external funding, provide service to the Department, College, University, profession, and community.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or a closely related discipline is required; Applicants who are ABD will be considered, but appointment will be at the instructor rank, and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2013. Emphasis in Biomechanics is required. Experience in college teaching is highly desirable.
Appointment
Tenure-track appointment for the 2012-2013 academic year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. A benefits package is included.
