Seeking a tenure track, assistant professor position in cultural anthropology beginning in Fall 2012. We seek candidates with regional expertise in Asia, with knowledge of South or Southeast Asia particularly desirable. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who can contribute to Towson’s cultural studies program and other area studies programs, as well as those with experience or interest in public anthropology who can link our students to the local or global community. Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show clear potential for scholarly research and publication; interest in pursuing external funding desirable. A PhD degree in anthropology is desired, but advanced ABD candidates will also be considered.
