Position:

Towson University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Biological Sciences. The position is contingent on final funding approval for FY 2013. Ph.D. or Ed.D. in science education, biological or environmental sciences required. Graduate course work in both education and biology and teaching experience at the middle or high school level desired. Teaching responsibilities could include courses in introductory biology, field biology, student intern supervision for secondary science education majors, and a science methods course. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program in their field of expertise. Applicants are expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, show potential for a productive research/scholarly program, and pursue external funding.
