Diversity Advancement Committee

The mission of the Diversity Advancement Committee is to support the work of the Diversity Coordinating Council by facilitating the implementation of diversity action items highlighted in Towson University’s Diversity Action Plan.  These action items foster the achievement of diversity goals identified in Towson University 2010: Mapping the Future.  The committee will carry out its mission by doing the following:

• Implement divisional, department, or unit diversity action items;
• Assist the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Equal Opportunity to coordinate and integrate diversity initiatives across campus;
• Maintain open communication regarding the status of diversity action items and campus climate concerns; and
• Support the Diversity Coordinating Council in the implementation of institutional objectives and policies that advance the inclusiveness and diversity of Towson’s campus community.
