Executive Board Meetings
January 27, 2004
12:00-12:45

In attendance: C. Alston, B. Harris, G. Van Essen, J. Hosier, R. Richardson, A. Mueller.

We discussed the upcoming State MMEA Conference (Feb. 27-29). We discussed the need for 3-4 volunteers to help transport the university booth to the site on Thurs. Feb. 26 (email will be sent to members). We discussed the Instrument Repair Workshop, and have developed a vocal workshop to coincide with the repair workshop on the same evening with dinner preceding the workshops (Tentatively scheduled for March 9). The "Town Hall" meeting was also discussed and will take place later this month (exact date will follow). PICK UP YOUR JOURNALS!!!!

Music Student Council Meetings
November 03, 2003
11:45-12:15

In attendance: R. Chiles, T. Ewell.

T. Ewell discussed the possibility of rescheduling of courses during the Spring 2005 semester. R. Chiles raised the issue of where students will practice during April and May 2005 when the building is closed. We also discussed construction noise during large ensemble rehearsals. This was a problem during a recent rehearsal of the orchestra. Students from the American String Teachers Association Committee will meet next council meeting to discuss the marching band requirement in the music education degree. This meeting will be held on Dec. 8th at 11:45.
