Rachel
Roulet has served as a vocal coach and pianist for Towson University's
Voice Division and Music for the Stage program since 2008.
A native of Seattle, Washington, Ms. Roulet was involved with many arts
organizations in the Northwest including the Bellingham Festival of
Music and the Northwest Boychoirs where she performed as these
organizations' keyboardist. She was also a director of the Seattle
Young Artists Music Festival and was a founding faculty member of the
Seattle Conservatory of Music.
Ms. Roulet received her B.M. and M.M. degrees in piano performance and
collaborative arts from The University of Michigan and the New England
Conservatory where she studied with Charles R. Fisher, Eckart Sellheim,
Jeffrey Gilliam and Margo Garrett. She has performed in
masterclasses for Elly Ameling, Murray Perahia, Richard Hundley, Martin
Katz, Gerard Schwartz and Edgar Meyer. She was invited to study
at the Ravinia Festival’s prestigious Steans Institute for Singers in
2001. Ms. Roulet has concertized with members of the Seattle
Symphony, the Metropolitan Opera, the Boston Lyric Opera and most
notably with Erin Wall, Jossie Perez, Richard Clement and Stephen
Powell in art song recitals for the Bellingham Festival of Music.
She previously held accompanying positions at Western Washington
University, Southern Utah University, the New England Conservatory and
the University of Michigan. Ms. Roulet spends her summers
teaching and accompanying at the New England Music Camp in Sidney,
Maine.
