Keith Derrickson
Keith DerricksonKeith W. Derrickson, a retired music teacher from the Baltimore County Public School System, presently teaches in the Music Education Department at Towson University.  During his 32 years in education, he has taught music to students of all levels from kindergarten to the college level. 

Derrickson received local "Teacher of the Year" awards in 1997 for the high school level, and 2004 for the elementary school level. In 2008 he was recognized by the Baltimore County PTA Council as one of ten "Special Educators of the Year."  He received his BS degree from Towson University and his MM degree in Music Education from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.   He has served as a clinician and has adjudicated choral festivals in Maryland.  Derrickson supervises student interns for the Music Education Division, and teaches “Methods of Teaching Vocal-General Music in Secondary Schools” and “Teaching Choral Music in the Elementary and the Secondary School.”
