                            Multicultural Institute

The Multicultural Institute represents multicultural and international diversity perspectives in the Division of Academic Affairs at Towson University. The Multicultural Institute supports initiatives related to faculty and staff development as well as curriculum transformation. The Multicultural Institute supports a broad definition of multiculturalism and diversity including aspects of race, class, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, language, religion and spirituality, disability, age, and national identity.

The Multicultural Institute works closely with the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (Executive Division) and the Center for Student Diversity (Division of Student Affairs) in order to ensure comprehensive diversity planning across the university. In addition, the institute fosters links among senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, colleges, and units across campus.
