Participants

Participants from universities in the following countries will be invited: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Balkans.

Junior faculty from the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe who have at least two years of teaching experience in Sociology, History, Gender Studies, Political Science or Journalism will be considered for application. Preference will be given to young academics showing the most potential and who are highly motivated to incorporate new methods of teaching and concepts in their research. In order to maintain transparency in the application process, project administrators from both Towson University and KMA and will review the applications.

The summer program, which will take place from July 15 to July 30, 2006 will provide travel, lodging and meals for participants.
