The Jamie Parker Memorial Scholarship Fund |
| James Parker, known to friends and family as "Jamie", was a musician, performer, and student. Jamie was much beloved by all who knew him. Jamie, who loved to entertain, shared the role of the Oriole Bird while attending Towson as an undergraduate majoring in Mass Communication and Communication Studies. His life was cut tragically short by an automobile accident when he was returning from visiting, as Oriole Bird, a hospitalized child. |
| Criteria: The Jamie Parker Memorial Scholarship has been established by Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity to provide scholarship support to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Mass Communication and Communication Studies and Electronic Media and Film. Applicants must possess a GPA of at least 2.25 and demonstrate involvement in community service activities. Candidates must submit an essay describing the extent of their community service. Preference is to be given to candidates whose community service activities benefit children. |
| * Note: Because scholarships are based primarily on interest earned from investments and endowments, amounts can fluctuate each semester in terms of specific dollar amounts. |
