Current Projects/Publications

  •  Candidate for Doctorate in Instructional Technology, Towson University.
  • Presented a Fellows Business Breakfast --Cutting-edge practices in communication planning and management, at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) International Conference in Washington, DC, in June 2005.
  • Published “Timeless Wisdom: Strategic Planning Still Shapes Successful Communication Programs,” Inside Organizational Communication: Fourth Edition, textbook published by Jossey-Bass and IABC, 2005.

  • Published “Linking Employees to Strategic Direction: It’s What We Call Engagement,” CW Bulletin, an e-newsletter and supplement to Communication World, September 2005.

  • Life Member and Fellow, International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). I continue to have a close working relationship with IABC. I have been a member since 1973. I have held leadership positions at every level, including the highest elected office from the membership, International Chairman (1991-1992).

  • My manual, “The Communication Plan: The Heart of Strategic Communication,” published by IABC, continues to be their all-time best-selling manual.

  • Member, Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).

  • Member, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and its Educator’s Academy.
