On Campus Jobs in Department of Mathematics
There are often jobs for students in the Department of Mathematics Office and the Stephens Satellite Lab. These jobs are open to both Regular Student Employees and those students eligible for the funded Federal Work Study Program.
Departmental Student Office Jobs
The Department of Mathematics has Student Office Assistants whose responsibilities include: greeting visitors to the department, answer the telephone, distribute mail to centrally located faculty mailboxes, do general filing, run errands on campus for the department, make non-sensitive photocopies, and do some word processing. As experience is gained; duties, responsibilities and salary will be increased.
Work days and hours are flexible within the timeframe of Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Satellite Lab Student Jobs
The Satellite Lab is staffed by student Lab Monitors during all hours of operation. Lab Monitors are expected to: (1) help students as much as possible, (2) control the use of the laser printer, and (3) assist in the smooth operation of the Lab. Students interested in working in the Satellite Lab should have a beginning knowledge of computers and the Windows operating system; however on the job training is always provided by the Lab Manager.
