College of Business and Economics

Department of Marketing

Our mission is to provide an excellent broad-based education in Marketing that enables students to excel in positions of responsibility and leadership in a dynamic business environment by means of: dedication to students and personalized service; teaching excellence; involvement with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government; and commitment to the highest ethical standards.

The Department of Marketing supports programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Marketing is one of the most popular concentrations in Business Administration for undergraduate students.  In the graduate UB/Towson MBA program, students can specialize in Marketing. Our many graduates have moved on to successful careers in the business (for-profit), government, and the nonprofit sectors.

Students are assigned an adviser upon declaring a major in Business Administration with Marketing as the concentration or the combined major with e-Business.

Students meet with their advisers each term to discuss their program and for assistance in making any necessary changes in their course of study.  As needed, students also meet with their advisers to discuss internship opportunities, extra-curricular activities, and career plans.
