Academic Department Template Options (H3)
Following are two academic department Web page templates that show recommended left navigation and link names. Choose a template based on your department’s needs, keeping in mind design capabilities and content upkeep. You can choose all, some or none of the components, including photos, “Announcement Boxes,” and “Spotlights.” Photos may be horizontal or vertical. Note that components can be added or deleted at any time.
The left navigation shown in the Academic Department Template 1 is for departments with both undergraduate and graduate programs. Optional links are noted with an *. So, for example, if your department does not offer a graduate program, delete that link. The left navigation for a department with either a single major or minor is show in Academic Department Template 2, below.
