Increasingly, Towson’s ability to provide these tools is challenged by eroding state support and rising costs associated with Towson’s commitment to our students as individual learners. Over the last 30 years, state support has been reduced by nearly 50 percent, and that support accounts for only 25 percent of Towson’s current operating budget. Therefore, our mandate to provide public education for every student with the ability and desire to attend has never been more vital or worthy of your support.
