Summer Trimester Services and Resources
Experience summer at Towson University with the services you'd expect – dining, housing, health services, campus rec and more will be available during Summer Trimester, May 27 - August 7.
Parking
Currently issued parking permits are valid through the Summer Trimester period. New parking permits for just the Summer Trimester will be prorated to the annual parking permit fee. Current rates are posted on the Parking Services Web site.
Dining Services
A variety of eating venues will be open throughout the summer. Paws in the University Union will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from noon - 7 p.m. on weekends. The 7720 Cafe in the Administration Building will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on weekdays. Starbucks at Cook Library will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on weekdays. Students can also use their One Card at select area restaurants and stores.
Housing
All undergraduates taking at least one summer class can live on-campus. The cost for students to live on-campus in the residence halls is $135/week. Contact Housing and Residence Life at 410-704-2516 for details.
Cook Library
Cook Library will be open during Summer Trimester with full services provided, including the computer labs. Summer hours for May 27 - August 8 are Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.;
Friday. 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; the library is closed on Sunday.
Cook Library is also closed on July 4-5.
Academic Advising Center
The Academic Advising Center, located in the Lecture Hall, is open and available for appointments and walk-in advising during regular hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Academic Achievement Center and Tutoring
The Academic Achievement Center, located in Cook Library, 5th floor, is open throughout Summer Trimester, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free tutoring and academic coaching are available upon request. For more information, please call 410-704-2291.
Summer tutoring will be available for student-athletes by appointment through Academic Support Services in the Department of Athletics .
Writing Lab
The Writing Lab, a multidisciplinary tutoring service for TU students, faculty and staff, provides assistance with writing at any stage of the writing process. Located in Linthicum Hall, room 308, the lab will be open during the Summer Trimester. Check online for hours.
Health Center
The Dowell Health Center is open during regular hours for students.
Campus Recreation Services
Campus Recreation Services are available during the Summer Trimester. The C.R.i.B. Fitness Center is open Monday - Thursday from noon- 9 p.m., and Friday - Sunday from noon-6 p.m. The Climbing Gym in the C.R.i.B. is open Monday - Thursday from 4-9 p.m. The gyms in Burdick Hall are open Monday - Thursday from 4-9 p.m, Friday from 4-6 p.m, and weekends from 1-5 p.m. The pool in Burdick Hall will be closed from July 3 - September 2 for maintenance. All facilities will be closed August 9-29. Please check the Web site for more information.
Counseling Center
The Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., for regular appointments and emergencies. Call 410-704-2512.
