CAMPUS DIVERSITY RESOURCES

Diversity at Towson University is broadly defined to include: race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, gender, ability, sexuality and sexual orientation. Programs are offered to foster a receptive environment; facilitate recruitment, retention and graduation of students; and promote multiracial learning for all students, faculty and staff.

The Center for Student Diversity oversees the African American Cultural Center, Women's Center, Student Support Programs (including SAGE, Students Achieve Goals through Education and CEEP), and Cultural Programs. The office partners with and supports the Jewish Cultural Center, Hillel, Campus Ministries and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues Committee. The office also supports cultural organizations, conducts diversity awareness programs, assesses the needs and climate of diverse groups and advocates on behalf of underrepresented groups.

The Reflective Process initiative at TU will shape our institutional culture by increasing awareness and commitment to diversity throughout the campus.
