Paying Your Bill

Credit Balances and Rebate Checks

You have a credit balance whenever your account has an overpayment, either because your term aid exceeds your charges, or you receive aid after you have paid your bill.

 

You will receive any credit balance in a rebate check to use for books and out-of-pocket educational expenses.  The Bursar’s Office begins to disburse rebate checks for credit balances no earlier than ten days before the first day of classes each term.  If you receive a late aid offer, you may not receive a rebate check until at least three weeks after the creation of the credit balance.  If you receive a revised aid offer, you may also experience a delay in receiving a rebate check.
