From jazz to chamber music, dramas to musicals, art exhibits to dance, Towson University has the ticket. More than 80,000 people attend some 200 performances, exhibits, films and lectures each year at the Center for the Arts and other campus venues.
The Asian Arts & Culture Center presents a full calendar of events designed to promote the visual and performing arts of Asia. Family entertainment and children’s arts programs are offered throughout the year.
Students majoring in the creative disciplines are drawn to Towson University’s programs in art, music, theater, dance, film, communication, creative writing and languages. May 1 through May 10, come see Between Trains, a new play written and directed by theatre arts professor Juanita Rockwell. Inspired by Buddhist teachings on the nature of mind, the play explores what happens during the in-between moments of our lives—when there’s an opportunity for a choice.
