Transfer To-Do List

The information and tasks listed below are for students entering spring 2012. Information for students entering fall 2012 will be available in mid-April.

Welcome to Towson University! Congratulations on your decision to attend Towson University. We are excited to welcome you to the Towson University family and to help you make the most of your time at TU. In order to make your transition as smooth as possible, we have created the Transfer Program and To-Do List.

The Transfer Program

The Transfer Program is designed to assist you with your transition to life at TU. This important program is split into two sessions that you are required to attend: Transfer Program Part I, which takes place before classes begin in January, and Transfer Program Part II, which takes place at the start of spring term classes. During these sessions you will receive advising for your major, build your schedule for the next term, meet with faculty members and fellow students from your major, obtain your OneCard student ID and much more.

You will be given a variety of orientation dates from which to choose based on your intended major. Registration is first-come, first-served, so you are encouraged to register early. Remember you will select two dates— one for each part of your program.

Transfer To-Do List

In addition to the Transfer Program, important tasks for you to complete before you start classes are listed in the Transfer To-Do List. It is important to read this booklet and complete all To-Do items before the start of classes. If you have questions about any of the items listed, please contact the appropriate office prior to orientation or plan to arrive promptly at 9:45 a.m. on your Transfer Program Part I date. University representatives will be available to assist you.

Faculty and staff are busy planning your transition to Towson. You can expect many fun activities to help you get to know your classmates and professors, as well as many resources for ensuring your continued academic success.Share this information with your family. If you have additional questions about the Transfer Program or To-Do List , visit the Orientation website, contact New Student Programs at newstudentprograms@towson.edu or 410-704-2309, or visit the New Students Website.
