Transfer Admissions
Graduating from Towson University
A minimum of 120 units is required for graduation from Towson University.
Students must fulfill General Education (GenEd) requirements,
departmental requirements of chosen major and 32 units of upper-division
course work, inclusive of major requirements and a general elective
unit.
Credits
from two-year institutions and community or junior colleges may not be
used to fulfill the upper-division requirement of 32 units. Lower
division courses from four-year institutions that correspond to
upper-level division TU courses will transfer as they are taught at the
institution you are transferring from. These courses, however, will not
count as upper-division credit.
Your graduation requirements may vary
depending on the catalog you are assigned when you transfer to TU.
Graduating with Latin Honors
In order to
qualify for Latin Honors, you must:
- Complete a minimum of 60 units at TU to qualify for honors.
This may include S, PS or PE (CLEP) credits. Second bachelor’s students
must take 60 units at TU in the second-degree program. Students must
have a minimum Towson GPA of 3.40.
- A student with transfer credits must also have a cumulative
transfer average of 3.40 or above (combined average of all transfer
schools).
Additional
information about graduation is available at the
