How did you choose your major?
“My adviser helped me find my major through a variety of GenEds and the Myers-Briggs Test.”

Did Towson’s study abroad program and resources help you to find the best match for you and your major?
“When I first approached the study abroad office, I was amazed by the number of countries to choose from for study Joey in front of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlandsabroad. I chose Edinburgh, Scotland because of my major. We learned about mass communication on an international level, visiting many public relations and ad agencies, not to mention the sights of Europe! I discovered I was able to do more than I thought on my own.”

What was the best thing that came out of your study abroad experience?
“It’s amazing how cultures differ from one another. Being in another country and experiencing their culture was a great experience that not only furthered my college career, but helped me to become a more adaptable person.”

How does Towson help its students to enter the workforce?
“It’s great to get help from the Career Center staff with my resume and cover letter no matter what job I’m aiming for. The center’s Hire@TU link online is also an awesome way to find a job on or off campus. TU even hosts career fairs and networking events right on campus.”

As a commuter, what do you think is the most Joey and friend enjoy coffeeimportant thing that commuters should do?
“All commuter students should get involved in campus, find a job and make friends. Try Good Morning Commuters. You can eat breakfast, connect with some people, and even find a new roommate.”

Did you find Towson’s Off-Campus Living Fair to be helpful and informative?
“I love the Off-Campus Living Fair. I had no idea there were so many apartments across the street and about five minutes away! I can walk to campus!”
