2008 Tiger To-Do List for Freshmen

Step 5: Accept Financial Aid Package   Deadline:  Within two weeks of receiving letter

Financial Aid Office – 410-704-4236

If you applied for financial aid, you should have received a financial aid notification in the mail. You must accept or decline your financial aid offer. The best way to accept or decline the offer is online at Towson Online Services.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://students.towson.edu
  2. Click on Towson Online Services
  3. Log in using your TU ID # (provided in your financial aid notification and Offer of Admission letter)
  4. Click on SA Self Service
  5. Click on Learner Services
  6. Click on Finances
  7. Click on Accept/Decline Financial Aid

Note: If you have difficulty accessing your account, call the TU Office of Technology Services Help Center at 410-704-5151.

 

If you prefer to respond to your aid offer by mail, you can accept all student aid offered by simply signing and returning the financial aid notification.

If you want to decline some or all of the aid offered, circle "D" next to the aid you do not want. Be sure to sign and date the notification and return it to the Financial Aid Office. 

Whether you respond to your aid offer electronically or by mail, you must accept or decline your offer within two weeks of the date printed on the notification.  If you do not respond within two weeks, the offer will be subject to cancellation.

All financial aid is packaged based on being a full-time student. If you do not plan to be a full-time student, complete Form C and return it to the Financial Aid Office. To obtain Form C, visit the Financial Aid Office Web site and click on Forms and Publications.

To find out what you must do to complete your financial aid application and receive aid, check your online To-Do List weekly:

  1. Visit http://students.towson.edu.
  1. Click on Towson Online Services.
  2. Log in using your username and password.
  3. Click on SA Self Service; Student Center; Tasks; To-Do List.

If you have any questions about your financial aid package or your applications for other types of assistance, you can:

  • Consult the Financial Aid Notification Guide online.
  • Visit the Financial Aid Office Web site.
  • See our receptionist in Enrollment Services, Room 339.
  • Call the Financial Aid Call Center at 410-704-4236.
  • E-mail us at finaid@towson.edu .
  • Schedule an in-person or telephone appointment with a financial aid adviser, 410-704-4236.
  • Call our Scholarship Unit at 410-704-2647 or visit the Scholarship Seeker on the Financial Aid Web site.

Don't have access to the Internet? Computers are available for student use related to financial aid in the lobby outside the Financial Aid Office, Enrollment Services, third floor.

Financial aid that you have accepted will appear as a credit on your university account after you have completed all financial aid related items on your Towson Online Services To-Do List. For more information, click on the Tuition Bill link below or refer to the "Pay Tuition Bill" in your 2008 Tiger To-Do List.
